Hello lovely! My name is Alexa and I am the mama behind
The Powerful Mama Blog.
Thank you for taking the time out to get to know me.
I am a young mama, an anomaly in many aspects to the millennial statistics.
An “old soul” is a term that would be used to describe me.
I am married to an amazing man who’s heart is after God’s whom I serve in ministry with. We just had our first child and I cannot thank God enough for the beautiful life He has given me alongside my husband.
I am presently a full-time undergraduate student, studying for my degree in Communication Disorders. In addition, I am a full-time mama and an active deaconess at my church The Flow Kingdom Ministries.
I love God, I love people and I love site seeing!
I value family time and reading a good book that edifies my soul!
I am currently in the process of transitioning my household to a holistic lifestyle. It’s definitely different than what we grew up learning, but it has been a fun, learning experience thus far.
I love to write (hence the reason why I decided to blog.)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat BUT, cooking is NOT my favorite thing to do.
I was born and raised in NJ, currently living in the big apple, but definitely have a heart for the country!
In this blog… you can count on being inspired and encouraged to pursue life wholeheartedly. You can trust in my recommendations on anything and everything that I think is worth sharing and lastly, you can follow my journey as a first-time mama.
Why “The Powerful Mama?”
Whether or not you are a mom yet, my desire is to always remind you that power lies within YOU. You have the power to create, to succeed, to be an effective wife, mother, daughter, and sister, you have the power to do anything you set your heart to do!
As women, the weight of our responsibilities can get heavy, but you are NOT alone!
I have learned to embrace the challenges that come with being a woman and lean on the grace and favor that our heavenly father has clothed us with.
His word says that he has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love.
So straighten up that crown mama, the world is ours!
