In reply to Melissa Hoyle. That makes so much sense and quite frankly I find myself wanting control many times as well! But I think I sort of learned, or maybe I should say, I'm getting better at knowing when it's God's timing versus when I just want it. Thank you so much for reading and sharing Melissa!

I love this! Being intentional is something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. My aunt had 6 kids, homeschooled them all, lived out in the middle of nowhere on a ton of land, raised her family vegan, taught her kids from an early age how to cook and clean….all things I admire and all things she planned out well before she even had kids. I feel like I am just kind of winging everything. I am a huge planner….but, I think God waits to give me any sort of vision for my future to teach me how to release that control I love so much (and one reason I am such a planner, so I can have control). For example, I wanted to homeschool my kids before I was even a mom but I had to wait until my oldest was in the 4th grade before I got to do that…or, I wanted a lot of kids but my husband only wanted 2 so I just weasled 5 out of him…I want to live on land and have goats that I milk but God has us living in a neighborhood in the city with no plans to move anytime in our near future. I want to be more intentional this year but still release that control and just wait for Him to show me what’s next, if that makes any sense at all!
